Women Crush Wednesday: Kia Johnson

She’s interviewed the likes of International Chef  Gordon Ramsay, pastry extraordinaire Eric Lanlard, funnyman John  Cleese,  WWE’s  Justin  Gabriel,  and tons of other local and international media personalities; but not many know exactly what makes Kia Johnson herself tick.

We caught up with the Radio 2000 DJ and businesswoman to find out a little more about the woman behind the voice.

What’s your idea of the perfect date?
I’m quite down to earth and not easily impressed by flashy material items but I’m a sucker for good food, so that makes it harder to please me. If it was our first date a night concert at Kirstenbosch Gardens or my favourite restaurant would be just perfect. If we have gotten to a level in our relationship where things are comfortable you can easily entice me with flowers, candles and a dinner you’ve cooked for me at home.

Who is your celebrity crush and why?
Leonardo DiCaprio – He always reminds me of River Pheonix whom I had the biggest crush on, something about those cat like eyes just does it for me.

What do you look for in a man?
Kindness, sincerity and someone I can laugh with.

When you were little you wanted to be?
A Marine Biologist

Your biggest relationship deal breaker (or turn off) is?
Disrespect

What do you like to do for fun or to relax?
Going out for a night with my gal pals dancing the night away.

Best surprise gift you ever received from your partner or a loved one?
My engagement ring

If you could instantly download a special skills or super powers like an app what would they be?
Mind control!

Right now, what are you completely obsessed with?
Cape Town holiday getaways.

What would people be surprised to know about you?
That I can imitate Woody Woodpecker… yes, the cartoon character.

What are you most looking forward to this year?
Toning my body to the closest perfection of it that I can.

What can’t you live without?
My eyeliner.

Who is your favourite celeb #couplegoals duo?
I certainly hope the rumours are true that Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are back together then I’m over the moon, bring on Brangelina!
