Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City
Release date: 3 December 2021

However, as with all things as of late, the beloved horror franchise is set for a cinematic reboot. Director Johannes Roberts’ Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City is somewhat of a retelling of the original game’s premise, set during the initial outbreak of the zombie-creating virus in Raccoon City and the events that unfold at the Spencer Mansion and Raccoon City Police Department. The cast includes Kaya Scodelario (Crawl) as Claire Redfield, Hannah John-Kamen as Jill Valentine, Robbie Amell as Chris Redfield, Tom Hopper as Albert Wesker, Avan Jogia as Leon S. Kennedy, and Neal McDonough as William Birkin.

Jon Watts, who directed the first two Spider-Man films, Homecoming and Far From Home, is behind this one too.
