If you’re planning on hitting the movies this weekend, we’ve got you covered for what’s on. This weekend we’ve got a tense-adventure, a crime thriller, a new Ben Stiller comedy, and much more.

Black Sea

Jude Law stars in this film about a rogue submarine captain that pulls together a misfit crew to go after a sunken treasure rumoured to be lost in the depths of the Black Sea. As greed and desperation take control onboard their claustrophobic vessel, the increasing uncertainty of the mission causes the men to turn on each other to fight for their own survival.

Cut Bank

If you’re up for a thriller this weekend, Cut Bank could be the one for you. Liam Hemsworth stars as Dwayne McLaren, who dreams about escaping small-town life in Cut Bank, Montana, “the coldest spot in the nation,” with his vivacious girlfriend. When he witnesses an awful crime, he tries to leverage a bad situation into a scheme to get rich quickly, but he finds that fate and an unruly accomplice are working against him. Thrust into the middle of a police investigation spearheaded by the local sheriff, everything goes from bad to worse in this all-American thriller.

Ride

Helen Hunt, Callum Keith  Rennie star in this great coming-of-age story about a mother and son relationship. When her son drops out of college to become a surfer and find himself, a New Yorker magazine editor (Hunt) follows him to Los Angeles, and ends up being the one thrust into a sea-change of self-discovery, befriending a limo driver and rediscovering her romantic side with a younger surf instructor. Slowly, she begins to heal the fractured relationship with her son.
