Creed III
Release date: 3 March 2023
Another round of boxing-drama is on the cards as a third movie in the Creed spin-off franchise arrives. Michael B. Jordan returns as Adonis Creed, the son of Rocky Balboa’s fiercest competitor Apollo Creed, and also makes his directorial debut for the threequel. Tessa Thompson is reprising her role as Donnie’s girlfriend Bianca and Phylicia Rashad is returning as his stepmother Mary Anne. Jonathan Majors (Loki, Lovecraft County) joins the cast as Anderson Dame, Creed’s new rival.
65
Release date: 10 March 2023
A universal agreement from everyone around the world is that we need more dinosaur movies. Thankfully, there’s a new one coming from Sam Raimi (Evil Dead, Spider-Man) and the writers of A Quiet Place. 65 is a sci-fi thriller which takes place after a catastrophic crash on an unknown planet, where pilot Mills (Adam Driver) quickly discovers he’s actually stranded on Earth… 65 million years ago. Trippy. Now, with only one chance at rescue, Mills and the only other survivor, Koa (Ariana Greenblatt), must make their way across an unknown terrain riddled with dangerous prehistoric creatures in an epic fight to survive.
Scream 6
Release date: 10 March 2023
The Scream franchise saw somewhat of a resurrection with 2022’s soft-reboot Scream, and the franchise will continue its slash-fest with a trip to New York City in Scream 6. The sequel picks up after the previous film and follows the Carpenter sisters, played by Melissa Barrera and Jenna Ortega, as they leave Woodsboro for a life in the big city. Of course, Ghostface follows.
Shazam: Fury of the Gods
Release date: 24 March 2023
Zacary Levi is back in the sequel to 2019’s Shazam, as he continues his role as DC’s more obscure but important superhero in the DCEU. The film follows the arrival of the Daughters of Atlas, a vengeful trio of ancient gods, who are in search of magic that was stolen from them long ago, and it’s up to Billy aka Shazam to put a stop to them.
John Wick: Chapter 4
Release date: 24 March 2023
John Wick is returning for one final outing to settle the score with The High Table and its league of assassins, and will see Keanu Reeves and director Chad Stahelski reunite for one last time. Lawrence Fishburne and Ian McShane will return as the Bowery King and Winston respectively, and you can be certain that a whole host of bizarre and deadly hitmen will be lining up to take Wick down.
