Angelina Jolie passes on Salt 2

Angelina Jolie seems to be at the point where she can do whatever she wants – and that includes passing up on seriously lucrative scripts.

Mrs. Pitt first looked the other way to another certain box-office hit when she turned down a script for a follow-up to 2009’s Wanted. Now, Jolie has turned down a script for Salt 2 – the sequel to the original she starred in.

Moviehole reports that the actress has turned down the “current incarnation” of the project. “Jolie’s just finished reading Kurt Wimmer’s script for a potential sequel to her 2010 hit but didn’t go for it,” says the site. “Columbia Pictures have had Wimmer go back to the drawing board to see if he can come up with something that’ll work for Jolie.”

So it looks as if Salt 2 is on immediate halt until some reworks are done to please Jolie.
