Army of the Dead Prequel Gets its First Trailer

While we’ve only just been treated to Zack Snyder’s zombie-heist flick, Army of the Dead, a prequel has been quietly in the works, and we’ve now got the first trailer for the upcoming Netflix release.

Army of Thieves takes place before the events of Army of the Dead, and follows Matthias Schweighöfer character, safe-cracker Ludwig Diete, as gets drawn into the adventure of a lifetime when a mysterious woman recruits him to join a crew of Interpol’s most wanted criminals. Schweighöfer was one of the standouts from Snyder’s film, and it’s great to see more of him, and interestingly, Schweighöfer is also directing the film, with Snyder on board as producer.

Nathalie Emmanuel, Guz Khan, Ruby O. Fee, and Stuart Martin also star.

There currently is no release date, but it is set to hit Netflix in 2021.
