This week’s movie releases have a little bit of everything – superhero showdowns, historical dramas, and a horror-filled fright-fest to keep you on your toes. We take a closer-look at the movies you can watch this weekend:

X-Men: Apocalypse

Hyped-up as the biggest X-Men movie to date, X-Men: Apocalypse introduces the titular mutant who emerges after thousands of years to recruit followers in an attempt to purge the Earth and establish a new world order. Now mankind’s only hope of survival is Raven, Professor X and the team of young X-Men tasked with defeating the endlessly-powerful nemesis before he reigns supreme. James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, and Nicholas Hoult all return, along with Star Wars: The Force Awakens‘ Oscar Isaac joining the franchise to play Apocalypse.

The Man who knew Infinity

The true story of Srinivasa Ramanuan Iyengar, a self-taught mathematics genius, who after growing up poor in Madras, India traveled to Cambridge University, where he was admitted during World War I. It was there that he studied under his mentor, the eccentric professor G.H. Hardy, and became a pioneer in mathematical theories against all odds.

Before I Wake

Before I Wake is a horror film which centres around an 8-year-old boy named Cody, whose dreams manifest in reality as he sleeps. After he is adopted, new parents Jessie (Kate Bosworth) and Mark (Thomas Jane) first discover the incredible wonder of Cody’s imagination, but soon begin seeing the horrific nature of his night terrors.
