Channing Tatum fronts Magic Mike trailer

Magic Mike, the latest film by Oscar winners Steven Soderbergh brings together an impressive male cast for an unlikely rom-com about a group of male strippers. Although the film is said to include several full frontal nude scene it will in no way go “too far”, this according to Channing Tatum, who plays the film’s central character.

The film is based on Tatum’s experience as a stripper before making it big in Hollywood. While Magic Mike is based very loosely on an event in Tatum’s life, many liberties were taken- “All the stuff that actually happens in the movie is entirely fictitious and made up because we wanted to take liberties and we wanted to make it good”, Tatum comments.

The film will also star Alex Pettyfer, Matthew McConaughey, Matt Bomer, Adam Rodriguez as male strippers as well as Olivia Munn and Riley Keough.

Magic Mike is set for release in South Africa on 20 July.
