Fantastic Four Reboot – Official Synopsis Revealed

The upcoming reboot of the superhero foursome extravaganza, Fantastic Four, has been kept quiet since production started, but now we finally have an official synopsis of the forthcoming reiteration… but it doesn’t add much new information.

With the inevitable warning then for those who don’t like things spoiled, here’s what to expect, story-wise, from the movie: 

“The Fantastic Four, a contemporary re-imagining of Marvel’s original and longest-running superhero team, centers on four young outsiders who teleport to an alternate and dangerous universe, which alters their physical form in shocking ways. Their lives irrevocably upended, the team must learn to harness their daunting new abilities and work together to save Earth from a former friend turned enemy.” 

To be fair, it’s not telling us much we didn’t know. “Contemporary re-imagining” seems about right from everything we’ve heard of the film thus far.

Fantastic Four is set to hit theaters August 2015 and stars Michael B. Jordan, Kate Mara, Miles Teller, and Jamie Bell, with Josh Trank directing.
