John Cena to Star in Next Transformers Film
There’s more than meets the eye with what you can’t see.

While you can’t see him, WWE star turned actor John Cena will be visible in the next Transformers film.
Paramount Pictures has confirmed that Cena, who has appeared in Daddy’s Home 2 and Trainwreck, will star in the Bumblebee spin-off movie, currently scheduled for a December 2018 release date.
Also on board is Hailee Steinfeld (Edge of Seventeen), Pamela Adlon (Better Things, Louie), John Cena, Jorge Lendeborg Jr. (Spider-Man: Homecoming), Jason Drucker (Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul), and more emerging talents.
The film is set to be directed by Travis Knight, who helmed the brilliant stop-motion films Kubo and the Two Strings and Coraline. Franchise veterans Michael Bay and Lorenzo di Bonaventura will produce the film, along with executive producers Steven Spielberg, Brian Goldner and Mark Vahradian.
The film will take place in 1987 before the events of the first Transformers, where battle-scarred Bumblebee, finding refuge in a junkyard in a small Californian beach town, encounters Charlie (Hailee Steinfeld).
