Scream 5: Neve Campbell & Courteney Cox are Back in the First Trailer

There are a few franchise revivals on the cards, with the Matrix and Ghostbusters franchises getting new entries, so it’s only fair that one of Hollywood’s iconic horror franchises gets another go too.

The first trailer for Scream 4 has been released, and the new film, which is actually simply titled Scream, is set 25 years after the first film and includes many of the stars who appeared in the original.

The story picks up twenty-five years after the streak of brutal murders that shocked the quiet town of Woodsboro, as a new killer has emerged and donned the infamous Ghostface mask. Neve Campbell (Sidney Prescott), Courteney Cox (Gale Weathers) and David Arquette (Dewey Riley) return to their iconic roles alongside Melissa Barrera, Kyle Gallner, Mason Gooding, Mikey Madison, Dylan Minnette, Jenna Ortega, Jack Quaid, Marley Shelton, Jasmin Savoy Brown, and Sonia Ammar.

Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett are directors behind the release, which hits cinemas on 14 January 2022.
