Next Predator movie will be a sequel, not a reboot
Details about the next Predator movie roll in.
Despite reports suggesting that the next Predator movie will reboot the franchise, director Shane Black has confirmed that the movie will continue the story set up from the previous films.
The director, who was behind the camera for Iron Man 3 said to Collider: “why start over, when you’ve all this rich mythology yet to mine?”. He added that while he’s not a fan of reboots as a rule, he can “really get behind inventive sequels”.
The last movie in the franchise was Nimrod Antal’s Predators, directed by Robert Rodriguez and starred Adrian Brody, which was an entertaining yet different take on the Predator universe.
