Nic Cage Returns in ‘Scariest Movie of the Decade’, Hitting South African Cinemas this Week

The psychological crime genre is one that has had a few hits over the past couple of years, but no movie that has truly shaken things up. However, a new crime-horror-thriller called Longlegs is being called one of the scariest films of the decade, and stars Maika Monroe, Nicolas Cage, and Blair Underwood.

Coming from director Osgood Perkins (who directed 2020’s Gretel & Hansel), Longlegs follows an FBI agent in pursuit of a serial killer, who uncovers a series of occult clues that she must solve to end his terrifying killing spree.

While the film references classic horror and crime films that have come before, Longlegs presents a fresh take on the serial killer genre, blending together with folk and supernatural horror to create a chilling and unpredictable original film, and the reviews have already been gushing about it.
