Ryan Reynolds Becomes a Pokémon in First ‘Detective Pikachu’ Trailer
Check out the first official trailer for the live-action Detective Pikachu movie!
Admittedly one the weirdest movies coming in 2019, despite it’s box-office potential, Pokémon: Detective Pikachu now has its first official trailer, giving us a look at the live-action/animated hybrid film starring Justice Smith and the voice of Ryan Reynolds.
The film takes inspiration from the spin-off series which features the titular Pokémon star (who fancies himself as a detective) and a human companion, as they try to solve mysteries in and around the world of Pokémon.
As bizarre as the concept is, there’s no denying that a certain charm has been captured with the teddy bear-like look and feel of the Pokémon, along with Reynolds providing his trademark quips to the iconic yellow pocket monster.
Pokémon: Detective Pikachu hits cinemas in 2019.
