SA Movie Lovers Get To See American Sniper Early

If you’ve been dying to see what the Oscar buzz around American Sniper is all about, but can’t wait until the film officially releases on Friday, 20 February, then you have the chance to catch the flick tomorrow night for an early pre-screening event.

Ster-Kinekor will be showing the highly-anticipated and critically-praised film on Wednesday, 18 February for one night only at 20:00 at Cinema Nouveau theatres around the country – Rosebank Mall in Johannesburg, Brooklyn Mall in Pretoria, Gateway in Durban, and V&A Waterfront in Cape Town. You’ll likely have to try book as it will be a popular event to attend.

Pretty cool, right? And for those who may not know, American Sniper follows the true story of U.S. Navy SEAL Chris Kyle (played by Bradley Cooper) and it looks like its got all the drama, action, and emotional gravity that we’d expect from a factual war film. It’s also nominated for Best Picture.
