Star Wars Themed Nissan is the Coolest Piece of Nerd Tech Out There
But can it do the Kessel Run in less than 12 parsecs?
Timed impeccably with the release of Solo: A Star Wars Story, Nissan has revealed a Millennium Falcon-inspired version of their best selling Rogue SUV. They couldn’t have picked a better vehicle, considering the Falcon’s cult status not only among Star Wars fans, but just pop culture aficionados in general.
The exterior has a lot of handcrafted, custom moulded aluminium body panels to recreate the likeness of the Millennium Falcon’s appearance, but also combines 3D-printed inserts to add extra depth. The most eye-catching element of the exterior is definitely the windscreen cover that makes the driver feel as though they’re sitting right in the Falcon’s cockpit.
The Rogue’s likeness compared to the Falcon doesn’t just stop at the highly detailed paint job, either. With their most extensive custom project to date, the interior and cabin also have cues from the interior of the Falcon spread throughout, including oversized buttons and flip-switches throughout.
Night time is where this car is really going to shine, though, literally. The back has light-strips that mimic the design of the hyperdrive unit seen on the Falcon, and its rear lights also glow blue to contribute to the effect.
This epic project was completed by the Vehicle Effects company in Burbank, California, the same company that collaborated with Nissan in their other Star Wars themed vehicles. This one is definitely the coolest, but check the others out too!
