South African movie chain Ster-Kinekor has launched a new subscription service that gives SA movie-lovers the option of watching more movies for less.

The SK Subscription Club features two options for members who sign up – either a limited or an unlimited number of movies per month for a fixed fee, plus all the benefits of the popular SK Club included in the offer.

“The concept behind the SK Subscription Club is to benefit and reward our loyal customers who love the big screen cinema experience, who love watching movies as they were made to be seen, and those who frequent our cinemas on a regular basis,” says Lynne Wylie, Ster-Kinekor’s Chief Marketing Officer.

Members who sign up for the limited Fan Club get to enjoy four movie tickets per month for R269.00 to watch a standard 2D or 3D movie at their favourite Ster-Kinekor cinema. A 20% discount on a regular cool drink and popcorn combo is included in the deal.

“While the Fan Club membership is great for families, couples or friends, the unlimited Morvies Club subscription offers even more savings and benefits to customers who just love going to the cinema,” explains Wylie.” For R389.00 per month, members of the Morvies Club can watch an unlimited number of movies each month – in fact, you can watch up to five 2D or 3D movies every day if you have the time! This equates to a major monthly saving on movie tickets to watch all your favourite blockbusters and big-screen titles!”

While the Fan Club subscription enables you to buy four tickets for one movie, the Morvies Club membership offer includes one ticket per movie for each club member. It also includes a 20% discount on a regular snack combo.
