Taylor Lautner joins Grown Ups sequel

Twilight’s Taylor Lautner has just signed on to join Adam Sandler and company in Columbia Pictures’ Grown Ups 2.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Lautner will be playing a “fun” role in which he goes toe-to-toe with Sandler’s character Lenny.

Joining the project will hopefully act as a nice counterbalance for the young performer as he continues to position himself for a post-Twilight career. He has already starred in the action thriller Abduction and is currently attached to star in a new independent film from Gus Van Sant.

Kevin James, Chris Rock, David Spade, Maya Rudolph and Salma Hayek will also be returning for Grown Ups 2. Likewise, Dennis Dugan will be back to direct the pic.
