TRAILER: ‘Ninja vs. Shark’ is the Movie We All Need Right Now
Move aside, Kong and Godzilla — there’s another bout to be settled.
We’ve had some iconic battle movies over the years, but it’s time for arguably the biggest of all: Ninja vs. Shark.
As per the title, the movie is about a ninja… fighting a shark, and it’s hitting cinemas in Japan on 14 April, so it’s a real thing.
The film’s official synopsis says: “In the Edo period, at the remote village of Okitsu, the evil cult leader Koushirou uses ninjutsu to control sharks and forces them to attack local pearl divers so the cult can steal the pearls from their mangled corpses. Desperate for help, the village chief hires Kotaro Shiozaki, a guard at a nearby temple, but Kotaro soon finds his path blocked by lady ninja Kikuma, and a gigantic shark that doesn’t seem like something from this world.”
Kohshu Hirano, Shun Nishime, Julia Nagano, Kanon Miyahara and Yuichi Nakamura star.
