WATCH: Terrifying Trailer for Grinch Horror Movie ‘The Mean One’

First, we had Winnie the Pooh getting a horror reenvisioning, now it’s time for that pesky green Christmas-hating Dr. Seuss character The Grinch to get an evil makeover.

The Mean One is a new film from director Steven LaMorte, which follows a similar premise to the original Grinch Who Stole Christmas story, but obviously takes a much (much) darker twist.

The Grinch himself (played by David Howard Thornton) is far more monstrous and will be racking up a body-count in this film too, so it’s safe to say that it won’t be kid-friendly.

Also starring is Krystle Martin, Chase Mullins, John Bigham, Erik Baker, Flip Kobler, and Amy Schumacher. A co-production between A Sleight of Hand Productions, Amy Rose Productions, and Kali Pictures, the feature is Produced by Schumacher, LaMorte, and Martine Melloul. Executive Producers are Jordan Rosner, Gato Scatena, and Zach Stampone.
