Watch the Brand New Trailer for The Lego Movie 2!

It’s safe to say that The Lego Movie is one of our favourite films and easily one of the funniest animated movies ever made, and we’ve been waiting for some news on the sequel ever since the release of the first one. Thankfully, the first full trailer is here, bringing back Chris Pratt’s Emmet, Elizabeth Bank’s Lucy, and a whole host of returning and new characters.

Set 5 years after the original, things aren’t as awesome as we left our blocky-heroes. Lego world has been turned into a Max Max-style wasteland with a bunch of new threats, leading to Banks’s Wyldstyle and various other Lego friends getting kidnapped. It’s up to Emmet (Pratt) to save them with the help of cowboy and raptor trainer Rex Dangervest (also Pratt).
