WATCH: Winnie the Pooh Horror Movie Gets its First Trailer
Pooh bear is back, but not how you remember him.
The first trailer for the Winnie the Pooh horror film, Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey, has been released, showing the iconic childhood character on a murderous rampage.
You may be asking: how on Earth is this allowed to be made? Well, the Winnie the Pooh license (previously owned by Disney) lapsed and entered the public domain in early 2022, essentially allowing anyone to use the character in their own projects. The character was originally created by A.A. Milne and illustrator E.H. Shepard, whose likeness and IP were picked up by Disney in the 1960s.
Now, that whole licensing deal is over, so the pantsless bear is back and boy is he pissed for being abandoned in the Hundred Acre Woods. He also recruits the help of Piglet to seek revenge on Christopher Robin and some other unsuspecting victims, which should make for a harrowing and confusing watch.
