Expendables 3 Guardians of the Galaxy

The weekend is finally here, and with it comes some new movie releases. There’s one release we’d like to dub arguably “the most manly movie ever made” – and it’s worth highlighting; plus, there’s a comic-book blockbuster that’s getting overlooked and you’ll regret it if you fall into that negligible trap.

EXPENDABLES 3

Sly Stallone and the boys return in the third Expendables outing, and it’s evident that they’re only getting better with age. Kelsey GrammerWesley SnipesMel GibsonAntonio Banderas and Harrison Ford, to name a few, are some of the new faces that join the already-uber-action original cast featuring  Jason Statham, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Randy Couture, Terry Crews, and Arnold Schwarzenegger.

This time, the Expendables leader, Barney (Stallone) is forced to track and take down Conrad Stonebanks, the Expendables co-founder and notorious arms trader who is hell bent on wiping out Barney and every single one of his associates.

Need anymore motivation to watch the past and present action heroes of modern-day cinema blow things up and kick people in the face? Thought not…

GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY

Marvel’s giant blockbuster of intergalactic misfits released a few weeks back, and has made a seriously impressive critical and commercial impact, but many people still don’t seem to know what Guardians of the Galaxy is all about.

After stealing a mysterious orb in the far reaches of outer space, Peter Quill (Chris Pratt) is now the main target of a manhunt led by the villain known as Ronan the Accuser. To help fight Ronan and his team and save the galaxy from his power, Quill creates a team known as the ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ to save the world -including a machine-gun wielding raccoon, an alien female, a quiet bruiser, and a powerful tree-like creature.
