X-Men: Dark Phoenix – Watch the First Trailer

Fox has dropped the first trailer for the upcoming, next instalment in the X-Men universe, entitled Dark Phoenix, exploring the character of Jean Grey and her moral descent as she becomes the uncontrollable Phoenix.

Sophie Turner returns to play Jean Grey, along with James McEvoy’s Charles Xavier and Jennifer Lawrence’s Mystique also in the limelight once again. Michael Fassbender also reprises his role as Erik Lehnsherr/Magneto, and basically the rest of the gang from X-Men: Apocalypse round out the cast.

Simon Kinsberg is in the director’s chair for this one, who was also one of the writer’s for X-Men: The Last Stand and a producer on X-Men: First Class.

Dark Phoenix arrives in cinemas on 14 February 2019.
