Damon Albarn (Gorillaz, Blur) Talks About New Album, Dr. Dee

Influential and highly talented musician Damon Albarn is set to release his new album Dr. Dee on May 7.

The record is inspired by the life of the mathematician, polymath and Queen Elizabeth I’s advisor, John Dee, who Albarn describes as a “strange pastoral folk.” Sound-wise, Dr. Dee will reportedly mash English choral and instrumental with modern, West African Renaissance sounds.
