Deftones Are Back In The Studio!

Highly influential and respected alt/rock/metal band Deftones have finished writing and are set to begin recording their 7th LP, the follow up to their critically acclaimed 2010 album, Diamond Eyes.

In a recent interview, lead singer Chino Moreno had this to say about the sound and direction of the new record:

 “I know everybody says this, but I believe this is the best record we’ve made. I’m very enthusiastic, because it sounds futuristic in comparison to our last one, so it feels like a step forward. The songs are very different from each other, not heavier or slower, but more dynamic, going towards several directions; it’s heavy, but beautiful.”

Sounds promising.
