Machine Gun Kelly: Another Upcoming Rapper Proves His Worth

Cleveland rapper Machine Gun Kelly or simply MGK recently won best breakthrough artist at the 2012 MTVU Woodie Awards, an award show where the winners are voted by the fans, and since MTVU is almost exclusively broadcasted on university campuses in the USA, the Woodies are a great barometer of contemporary music taste.

The rapper has come a long way since making mix tapes and sleeping on couches. These days he’s winning over audiences at the Apollo Theatre and signed to Diddy’s label Bay Boy Records – living the dream.

The best part about it: He’s not even 22 yet. Respect.
