Penelope Cruz Named Sexiest Woman Alive

The debate of who is the world’s sexiest woman is one which will probably go on for eternity, but in an effort to try and pinpoint one particular beauty, Esquire magazine has dubbed Spanish actress Penelope Cruz as their choice… for now.

Cruz tops the list this year, stealing the crown away from last year’s choice, Scarlett Johansson, and in an interview with the magazine, Cruz spoke of her career choices throughout her life and how they have led her to a comfortable place in her age of 40.

“I’ve played a lot of tricks on myself,” she said. “I’ve made it hard for me sometimes, especially in my teens and twenties. I had an attraction to drama. Most of us have that, especially if you are an artist—you feel like you are tempted to explore the darkness. I could not be less interested now. For me, the most attractive, charming, cool, fun, interesting thing—how could I call it? A plan.”
