Samsung to reveal their Ultra HD 27-inch Monitor at CES

Samsung are set to show the world their new 9 Series of monitors at CES tomorrow. The extremely thin 27-inch PLN (Plane Line Switching) monitor will feature a 2560 x 1440 resolution, an anti-glare edge-to-edge display and a response time of 5ms. The S27A970 will also have a contrast ratio of 1000:1, two speakers built into the wafer thin frame and all the usual connectivity heaven hidden behind. It will also have Mobile High Definition Link (MHL) allowing seamless connectivity with any MHL compatable smartphone and tablet.

The S27A970 is expected to be on shelves in the US during March and should arrive in SA shortly after. Pricing for the unit will be around the $1200 mark.

Now imagine playing Battlefield 3 at 2560 x 1440!!
