Some tight encounters, brilliant individual performances, and dramatic moments made for an incredibly entertaining weekend of sport. But with so many great highlights, we decided to rank out top 3; so without further ado, here are our picks of the best sporting moments from the past weekend:

Cooper Comeback

33-year-old Quade Cooper was somewhat discarded from Australian rugby for a number of years, before receiving a lifeline from the Wallabies to come in as a player/consultant for the younger squad. He did manage to get a starting spot against the Springboks, and made a colossal impact, successfully completing 100% of his kicks at goal, and even slotting the final 82nd minute penalty to win the game.

Ronaldo is back

Cristiano Ronaldo made his long-anticipated return to Manchester United this past weekend, and scored two goals in what was a dominant performance over Newcastle.

Barrett’s offload

All Blacks flyhalf Beauden Barrett was in sublime form against Argentina, and set one up a stellar try with one of the best offloads of his career.
