5 Big Sports Moments You May Have Missed
We take a look at the biggest and best sporting moments from this past weekend.
Super Rugby, the Hong Kong Sevens, the Masters, and some great football action made for an incredibly entertaining weekend of sport. But with so many great moments, we decided to rank out top 5; so without further ado, here are our picks of the best sporting moments from the past weekend:
Wasps’ last-gasp victory
This was rugby at its most thrilling and its most cruel. Jimmy Gopperth’s touchline conversion of Charles Piutau’s try scored with four seconds remaining completed a 13-point comeback and assured Wasps’ passage into the Champions Cup semi-finals for the first time in nine years.
Oosthuizen makes shot of the century
Louis Oosthuizen somehow found a way to upstage his Masters albatross from 2012 by scoring a hole in one in his final round after bouncing off another ball and into the cup.
Norton joins the club
England Sevens flyer Dan Norton joined an exclusive club of just 4 players who have scored over 200 tries on the World Sevens Series
Ronaldo makes history
Cristiano Ronaldo became the first player to hit 30 La Liga goals in six consecutive seasons as he inspired Real Madrid to a 4-0 thrashing of Eibar.
“Where was that been hiding?”
The Reds have been rather terrible this season, but the Brisbane side put on a spectacular performance against the defending Super Rugby champions, the Highlanders, defeating the New Zealand 28-27.
