Some tight encounters, brilliant individual performances, and dramatic moments made for an incredibly entertaining weekend of sport. But with so many great highlights, we decided to rank out top 5; so without further ado, here are our picks of the best sporting moments from the past weekend:

France’s outstanding kick-off and try

France’s scrumhalf Antoine Dupont scored a great try after a clinical restart against Japan at the World Rugby U20 Championship.

Gareth Bale’s free-kick for Wales

The Dragons were on fire as the Euro 2016 got underway, and Real Madrid star Gareth Bale delivered his star quality with a brilliant free kick against Slovakia.

Payet’s clincher

While Euro 2016 just kicked off, France’s Dimitri Payet scored a contender for goal of the tournament against Romania. An absolute cracker from the Frenchman.

Folau’s fantastic finish

Wallabies fullback Israel Folau was on the end of a slick backline move by Australia against England in Brisbane.

Rokoduguni’s rocking 5-pointer

Playing for England Saxons, winger Semesa Rokoduguni scored an absolutely brilliant individual try against South Africa A in Bloemfontein.
