Some tight encounters, brilliant individual performances, and dramatic moments made for an incredibly entertaining weekend of sport. But with so many great highlights, we decided to rank out top 5; so without further ado, here are our picks of the best sporting moments from the past weekend:

Morahan’s epic try

Western Force’s Luke Morahan finished off a Try of the Year contender in the Force’s defeat to the Rebels.

Walusimbi’s long-range curler

Godfrey Walusimbi scored a breathtaking long-range goal for Gor Mahia in the Kenyan Premier League, showing that African soccer can produce the spectacular strikes to awe the crowds.

Stephen Curry’s no-look ally-oop pass

Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry sent an alley-oop pass in spectacular fashion to Andrew Bogut, who finished with a sterong slam dunk.

Ronaldo’s final penalty

Real Madrid sealed the Champions League trophy with a thrilling penalty shootout that ended 5-3 in Real’s favour – with Cristiano Ronaldo handling the final formality.

Ardie Savea’s match-winner

The Hurricanes and Highlanders were locked in a stalemate after 79 minutes, that was until star flanker Ardie Savea picked up the ball.
