Adidas Classic Predators Make a Comeback
Prepare for some old-school classics!

It’s probably no exaggeration to say that Adidas’ Predator line of football boots may be one of, if not the, most iconic football boots of the modern era. The original Predator model was released over 25 years ago, back in 1994, and pretty much every subsequent year, Adidas released updated or revamped versions of the Predator, quickly establishing it as their most successful boot since the Copa.
Now, in its 25th year, some classic Predators are being re-released for the enthusiasts to enjoy – or for younger fans who couldn’t grab a pair for themselves when they first released way back when.
Obviously, it makes sense that they’re not just re-releasing any old Predators; they’re taking a couple of pairs from two of Adidas’ most famous footballers ever to lace them up: Zinedine Zidane and David Beckham. Becks slips on some trademark sleek and clean white Predators, while Zidane goes for something with a little more flash. Those with keen eyes will probably recognise them as being quite similar to those the French legend used during his final World Cup outing.
Boots have changed quite substantially since the last time these kinds of Predators saw professional play, even the current Predators are a far cry from the heavier, full-leather boots Becks and Zidane are most famed for. But, these have seen a slight improvement, with the major difference being the addition of Adidas’ more recent and enhanced sole plate, which is taken from the Predator 19 line.
