In the highly-anticipated Champions League match-up between Barcelona and Liverpool this week, it was inevitably going to be Lionel Messi who would prove the difference between the two European giants.

Messi contributed two goals to his side’s 3-0 scoreline, but it was his second via a breathtaking free-kick more than 20 metres out that set the crowd alight.
