Nike Unveils New Bafana Bafana Jersey

Bafana Bafana’s involvement with Nike has been a positive one, with the national football side seeing some great kits in recent seasons thanks to the American company. Nike has now unveiled the latest South African jersey which will be donned by local players leading up to and at the AFCON 2019 tournament.

The new jersey stays true to the iconic yellow of past Bafana kits, but detours away from last season’s more retro-inspired look. It’s a far more contemporary take on the traditional design, being embellished with a notable stripe print on the sleeves, along with a more simple collar than 2017’s design.

The away kit is an inversed design, opting for a bold green with a cascading horizontal pattern as an alternate strip.

The new jersey will be seen on the squad for their build-up and forthcoming games leading up to the 2019 African Cup of Nations tournament.
