3 Magic Weekend Sports Moments You Need to See
We take a look at the biggest and best sporting moments from this past weekend.
A massive sporting weekend produced some truly outlandish moments of magic — from unexpected blowouts to standout solo moments. We’ve rounded up the greatest moments that you may have missed:
Harlequins’ stunner
It seems like not a week goes by when Premiership side Harlequins doesn’t deliver a spectacular try of some sorts, and this weekend, it happened against Bath. After South African winger Tyrone Green got the ball and threw an audacious offload, England flyhalf Marcus Smith picked it up, goose-stepped through the defence, and threw a stunning ball out to Joe Marchent.
Liverpool’s silky passing
LIverpool shellshocked Manchester United at Old Trafford with a 5-0 win, and their third goal scored by Mo Salah was arguably the best. Some very clean and skillfully passing built up to a shot being deflected, but Salah was in the perfect spot to send it back towards to goal.
Reinach’s thievery
Springbok scrumhalf Cobus Reinach, playing for his French side Montpellier, produced a moment of brilliance, where he stole the ball straight off Racing Metro’s No. 8, and dashed his way to the tryline from 70 metres out, beating a handful of very quick defenders, might we add.
