Chiefs Chelsea and Bulls

This weekend, things are heating up on the sporting front, with a massive local football derby, a huge Currie Cup rivalry, and a Premier League encounter that are all worthy to kick back and enjoy.

Kaizer Chiefs vs SuperSport United
Saturday, 18:15

United have endured four defeats from their opening five games this season, but Stuart Baxter’s side need to bounce back against Kaizer Chiefs, who are in great form and undeniable competition front-runners.

Chiefs consolidated their first place on the Premiership table on Wednesday, courtesy of a 2-0 win over Platinum Stars in Rustenburg. Amakhosi became the first team since Mamelodi Sundowns in 2010 to win four out of four opening league games and the Soweto outfit already enjoy a seven point margin over fierce rivals Orlando Pirates and defending league champions, Sundowns, so the encounter should be a cracker come Saturday.

Blue Bulls vs Western Province
Saturday, 17:05

The Bulls will be looking for revenge come Saturday when they host Western Province, who were clinical in dismantling the Bulls by scoring six tries against the men from Pretoria last time they meet.

The Bulls managed a shaky victory over the EP Kings, and have struggled to finish opportunities, but some team changes should help provide a much-needed spark for Frans Ludeke’s side.

Jacques-Louis Potgieter has been bracketed at flyhalf, with Joshua Stander looking the likely starter if his fitness is up to scratch. Piet van Zyl is restored at scrumhalf, while Callie Visagie and Werner Kruger will start in the front row.

Everton vs Chelsea
Saturday, 18:30

Chelsea travel to Everton this weekend and it could prove to be a very good game, Jose Mourinho’s toughest challenge yet this season.
