Juan Smith To Make Test Return For Springboks

Veteran Springbok flanker returns to international rugby after retiring and making a spirited comeback with Toulon in France.

South Africa coach Heyneke Meyer has announced his team that will take on Argentina in Salta on Saturday, and the most notable change from last week is that Juan Smith will make his long-awaited return to the starting line-up.

Smith last played with the Boks back in November 2010 against England at Twickenham. Smith is considered an experienced Springbok, having accumulated 69 tests for the national side, as well as being part of the 2007 World Cup-winning squad, and the Tri-Nations champions in 2009.

Other changes include Gurthö Steenkamp, who comes in at loosehead prop, and Eben Etzebeth, who returns to the No 4 lock position.

Subs: 16 Adriaan Strauss, 17 Tendai Mtawarira, 18 Frans Malherbe, 19 Bakkies Botha, 20 Marcell Coetzee, 21 Francois Hougaard, 22 Morné Steyn, 23 Lwazi Mvovo.
