What went down the last time the Boks and All Blacks went head-to-head in SA?
Let’s be honest — the Springboks haven’t had a good Rugby Championship campaign so far. Barring a promising performance in Argentina against the Pumas, the Boks haven’t hit their stride, and two unsatisfying draws to Australia and a colossal loss to the All Blacks have left South Africans eager for something to remember the tournament for.
Of course, it doesn’t get any easier, as the Boks take on New Zealand in Cape Town this Saturday, and it’s safe to say that Steve Hansen’s men are in an unblemished form at the moment.
Taking a look back to the last time these two rugby giants met, it didn’t go the Springboks’ way either. A poor 2016 season culminated in a rather ghastly loss to the World Champions in our own backyard, with Israel Dagg scoring two tries amongst the onslaught of others.
