The Chiefs have been on an incredible unbeaten run in 2023, topping the Super Rugby Pacific table and toppling all their rivals so far this season, and while they’re known for great long-range tries, the men from Hamilton put on a counter-attacking clinic against the Highlanders in Dunedin.

After receiving a kick from the Highlanders, All Black Damian McKenzie went on one of his usual runs and ended up cutting through the Highlanders’ defence, before passing to Brad Webber. What followed was a flurry of offloads, great passing, and even a dummy-and-go from George Dyer, who finished off the move.

The Chiefs went on to win 52-28.
