The Springboks’ undeniably powerful performance against the Wallabies in Brisbane in Round 1 of the Rugby Championship was a fantastic start for Rassie Erasmus’ men, showcasing a variety of skills and attacking strategies including trick lineout plays, brunt force options, and some great counter-attacking rugby.
One of the best long-range efforts was scored by winger Kurt-Lee Arendse, but the set-up came from some great passing through the backline and footwork from Jesse Kriel, who slinked through the defence and distributed to Arendse to finish off.
