New Oceanic side Moana Pasifika were always going to have a tough time in the Super Rugby Pacific competition, going up against the likes of the Crusaders, Hurricanes, Chiefs, and more. However, the new franchise managed to pull off the win of the season with a spectacular golden point moment against the ‘Canes in Wellington.
After a turnover in the 83rd minute, a kick-down field Danny Toala opened up a scrambling session for the Hurricanes, with Toala eventually regathering the ball and scoring an incredible try to give Moana Pasifika their historic first win.
