The Rebels light the fire

Despite their loss, the Rebels got the Super Rugby season off to a cracker with a brilliant team-try rounded off by scrumhalf Nic Stirzaker.

The Stormers’ new recruit, SP Marais, had a brilliant debut, finishing off a long-range team try to get the momentum rolling in favour of the home side.

Zlatan’s fine finishing

Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s time at Manchester United has been more than justified thanks to his weekend’s performance. The 35-year-old opened the scoring for Man United in the EFL Cup final against Southampton with a thumping free-kick from 30 yards out.

Campagnaro’s powerful burst and footwork

Strong Italian centre Michele Campagnaro beat three defenders to steam over for a fantastic win.

Italy’s clever thinking

A bit of controversy around this one, but a notable moments nonetheless. Italy’s unorthodox approach to the offside and ruck rule helped unsettle a normally-composed England side.

NHL star Brandon Manning caught Jake Guentzel with what appeared to be a massive hit to the head, but no penalty was called on the play.

Sikiru’s silky skills

Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries FC winger Sikiru Olatunbosun scored an absolutely breathtaking goal in the Nigeria Premier League with an flick-and-volley to find the back of the net.
