Sometimes taking a shot in the dark pays off, and Paderborn’s Moritz Stoppelkamp managed to score an incredible 82-metre goal against Hannover on the weekend in the Bundesliga encounter.

Hannover had a free-kick in the dying seconds of the game, which led to Hannover’s goalkeeper coming up into the opposition box to add another target for the free-kick taker. Unfortunately, it didn’t work out for them, and Stoppelkamp got possession of the ball and decided to take a seriously long shot at the empty goals on the other side of the field – and it paid off.
