We have seen some pretty incredible try-saving efforts over the years, but Tom Dearden’s chase-down on Selwyn Cobbo in the NRL match between the Broncos and Cowboys has to go down as one of the greatest.

Attacking on the Brisbane try-line, Cobbo, who is a big and fast winger, picked off an intercept and simply had to race 95 metres to score. Dearden, a halfback, was able to turn around from the middle of the field, chase down Cobbo , and put in a brilliant tackle that dragged his foot into touch.
