5 Big Sports Clashes You Can’t Afford to Miss this Weekend
Here are the big encounters that you need to watch this weekend!

The weekend is here, and holy moly it’s a biggie. From the biggest fight in combat sports history to a colossal Springbok clash, along with everything in between, the next few days are lining up to be absolute stunners; and we’ve highlighted the 5 matches you can’t afford to miss this weekend:
All Blacks v Wallabies (Rugby Championship)
Saturday, 09:35
Following a brilliant performance in Sydney last week, the All Blacks are looking to retain the Bledisloe Cup this weekend in the second and decisive match against Australia in the Rugby Championship. The Wallaby defence looked in disarray last week, and things won’t be any easier for them in Dunedin – a happy hunting-ground for the All Blacks. Expect New Zealand to turn it up a notch and break down the Wallabies before half-time.
Prediction: All Blacks by 15. Place your bets on All Blacks v Wallabies.
Springboks v Argentina (Rugby Championship)
Saturday, 21:40
The Springboks head to Salta to take on Argentina in the second Round 2 of the Rugby Championship. Worryingly though, Salta hasn’t been a great venue for South Africa’s win-rate in the tournament. That said, Allister Coetzee’s men seem to be going from strength to strength, and a big challenge away from their home comforts is just what’s needed before taking on the All Blacks and Wallabies in the weeks to come.
Prediction: Springboks by 7 . Place your bets on Springboks v Argentina.
Chelsea v Everton (Premier League football)
Sunday, 14:30
Title-holders Chelsea face another early test of their Premier League campain on Sunday as Everton come to Stamford Bridge. While the Blues opened the 2017-18 campaign in disastrous fashion with two red cards in a 3-2 home defeat against Burnley, Conte’s side passed their Wembley test with flying colours as Marcos Alonso’s brace earned a 2-1 win against their London rivals. This weekend won’t be an easy task too, as Everton – bolstered by a summer of big spending and an in-form Wayne Rooney – will look at the fixture as an opportunity to possibly catch the champions off-guard.
Prediction: 1-0 to Chelsea. Place your bets on Chelsea v Everton.
Liverpool v Arsenal (Premier League football)
Sunday, 17:00
After a difficult week for Arsene Wenger’s men following their 1-0 loss at Stoke, Arsenal bounce travel to Anfield for this weekend’s highlight fixture in the Premier League. The two sides both have the attacking capabilities to create scoring chances but lack the defensive solidity to keep their opposition at bay, so it’s extremely likely that a few shots will find the back of the teams’ respective nets. This should be an exciting encounter from two of the league’s most exciting-looking teams this season.
Prediction: 3-2 to Liverpool. Place your bets on Liverpool v Arsenal.
Floyd Mayweather v McGregor (Boxing)
Sunday, 05:00
One of the most anticipated sporting events of the calendar year arrives this weekend, as undefeated boxer Floyd Mayweather and mixed martial arts champion Conor McGregor go head-to-head in Las Vegas. Mayweather, 40, retired in 2015 with an unblemished 49-0 professional boxing record while boastful Irishman McGregor, 28, is the UFC’s lightweight champion. Widely regarded as one of the best defensive fighters of all time, Mayweather prides himself on his ability to evade punishment, while McGregor is known for his explosive power. It should be an incredibly interesting sporting spectacle, and while it’s a tough one to call given its unpredictability, it’s hard not to look at Mayweather as the favourite.
Prediction: Mayweather by TKO. Place your bets via desktop or mobile
