Digitisation of South African Homes & Businesses Key Focus for Rectron Summit
South African ICT industry leverages digitalisation and automation to power the increased integration of work and home.
The rapid advancement of remote and digitalised workplaces and their convergence with the home is driving a new wave of innovative information and communications technology (ICT) solutions.
These solutions not only guarantee seamless business operations but also address concerns regarding energy usage and the ecological footprint of industries.
These core themes will take centre stage at the Rectron Summit 2023: Digitalisation – Future of Work and Home, an annual ICT conference that serves as a platform for connecting Rectron’s extensive network of technology dealers and vendors across South Africa.
The Summit, taking place on 07 September 2023 in Johannesburg, will showcase a range of innovative products and services that form part of a roadmap to grow businesses and expand catalogues.
“Organisations have had to change and adapt how they use systems and processes to ready their workforce for a future where work integrates with home via automation and digital environments,” says Matthew Hall, chief product officer at Rectron. “With more businesses decentralising their operations and accessing data remotely on possibly unsecured networks, as well as storing it in the cloud instead of physical on-site hardware, cybersecurity vulnerabilities have increased substantially.”
“Both hardware manufacturers and software vendors are vital in addressing these security concerns, along with the energy limitations that accompany the global shift towards more sustainable energy sources,” says Hall.
With 600 key resellers expected at the Summit, exhibitors will showcase new products and services, giving dealers and vendors the opportunity to discover the latest innovations and trending technologies. These include the latest graphics processing units (GPUs), television innovations, power backup solutions, off-the-grid setups and more.
These offerings will be showcased through an array of solutions that aim to improve remote work and collaboration platforms, as well as support renewable energy and sustainability technologies, artificial intelligence, automation, and advanced cybersecurity.
Keynote addresses and panel discussions will feature renowned speakers who have redefined boundaries. Speakers like Denis, Cassinerio, Snr Director of Worldwide Distribution at Acronis, Lee-Anne Letcher, Business Development Manager at Canon, Yugen Naidoo, General Manager at Lenovo and many more will share impactful stories of insights and challenges, inspiring more innovation.
Interactive workshops led by experts in the fields of design, and technology will provide attendees with firsthand strategies that resonate with audiences in this digital world.
“While the Summit will offer a multi-faceted experience, its primary objective is to generate sales leads, showcase innovative product lines and services, and ensure a clear return on investment through targeted interactions.”
The Summit ends with an evening Soirée, allowing networking at an awards ceremony celebrating achievements in the ICT industry.
