Aplon attempts to tackle Fotu Auelua

Gio Aplon is one of the most dangerous players in the world with ball in hand, and while he punches way above his weight in terms of physicality, Aplon did come off second-best against Brumbies number 8 Fotu Auelua.

To be fair, the 115 kg Auelua gave the big Stormers forwards trouble, so when he came up against the 78 kg winger, the outcome was inevitable.

We admire Aplon’s commitment on defence and he always manages to inspire his team, most notably, his magical sidestep that set up the Stormers’ first try.

The Stormers went on to win the match 35-22, putting an end to the unbeaten run by the Brumbies.
