Cell C Customers To Get Free WhatsApp Services
South African mobile network Cell C says that WhatsApp services will now be free for all of its customers.
Cell C customers are in for some seriously good news – Cell C has announced that it will provide WhatsApp services free-of-charge.
Cell C WhatsApp users will be able to send pictures, voice messages, videos, and text messages via WhatsApp absolutely free of charge, and without incurring any data charges.
“This is just the first step in the game; we have much more planned in the social media space. We are embracing these technologies to enrich our own customers’ lives,” said Cell C CEO Jose Dos Santos on the Cell C website.
“WhatsApp is one of the most popular OTT (over the top) services on our network. We know that our customers are using it extensively to keep up with family and friends and we could not ignore the opportunity to add value,” said Dos Santos.
The free WhatsApp usage will automatically be free to all existing and new contract customers.
